The Hangover Secret - Clinically Tested by the University of the Pacific

We are proud to announce the successful completion of an independent study to demonstrate that The Hangover Secret has proven positive benefits.

The grant funded study was undertaken by the University of the Pacific in California, USA to test the effects of The Hangover Secret on mitigating hangover symptoms.

The study had healthy volunteers of 21- to 40-years-old receive either The Hangover Secret or placebo on two different occasions. Hangover severity was assessed using the Acute Hangover Scale (AHS) and Acute Hangover Severity Scale (AHSS) validated tools.

And the result?

The Hangover Secret showed positive signals in the prevention of alcohol-induced hangovers, especially headaches.” - University of the Pacific Research Team

The study was a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, crossover pilot study with Nine participants. Completed in July 2021, the study went on to be Peer Reviewed in Wiley.

What is the importance of the study being peer reviewed and published in a journal?

Scientists prefer to see the results of studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals because it means the study and all its methods, results, and discussion have been reviewed by experts (peers) in the respective area of research under which that study falls.

The value of this process is that it shows the scientists conducting the research have been rigorous in their experimental protocols and that the research is worthy.
